Are medical nursing dresses (for Women) still considered above-board?

I'm going into the healthcare industry as a nursing unit clerk, which of course manner I have to wear a uniform. I hate scrub. Not only are they the ugliest thing around, but I am 5'0 and 94 pounds, as a result I have never seen or am aware of any company that make scrubs this small. I find scrubs to look manly and boxy and don't see why women should have to wear the same things as men. Plus, it is incredibly stupid that near is a color uniform in the medical industry; medical uniforms involve to be washed in hot river and sometimes bleached. I also believe that butterflies and Winnie the Pooh are the last things grandpa wants to see during cardiac arrest. So my press is, are the dresses still acceptable in the hospitals? Do some women still wear them? Are they immediately frowned upon?
Answers:
They still make nurse dresses, but not alot of people wear them - I don't imagine I've seen them since my graduation from nursing school!

Some women wear scrub skirts, which is a short time more feminine:

Also, I find Tafford makes some scrubs that are more feminine and stylish. They also enjoy several items available in size XXS, which may fit you better:
