Answers:
try moving his neck to other side It works with my husband
I too can vouch for the Breath Right Strips. My boyfriend drove me nuts with his snoring too, and he ALWAYS falls asleep much faster than I do. But once I talk him into wearing the Breath Right Strips, it's SO much better.
Like some general public have mentioned, Breath Right Strips are available in almost any supermarket, but if any you or your hubby can't stand him with a strip of tape on his snout (I mean really, how sexy is that?) then near are other options.
Snoring is usually caused by a phlegm build up that folks develop from a sickness, or some sort of respiratory condition (like Asthma) and possibly other factors that I am unaware of. These are adjectives problems that clog his air pipes which lead to the annoying snores you hear at dark.
Again, some other solutions include:
*Turn off the air conditioning when you sleep. (Phlegm and mucus lone clog air pipes if they are sticky enough to stick to the bin liner of his throat/nose. This is caused by the temperature of the heavens.)
*Get a better pillow (Certain pillows with a concave surface are used to help fix the posture of folks with neck problems. This help by letting the air flow in and out surrounded by a straight path.
*Exercise (Get his lungs moving, the exercise will help him clear his lungs and sinuses.)
*Sinus clearing sprays (self explanatory)
*Consult a doctor of any respiratory issues he may hold. You may be able to fix it.
BREATHE RIGHT STRIPS. My fiance have the same problem and he tried all kind of throat sprays and nose sprays that didn't work... but the Breathe right strips that you put on the nose work.
He said he be embarrassed to wear them, but remind him that it is far less mortifying to see a strip on his nose right before he go to bed, than it is to have him keep you up beside snoring all hours of the night.
Also, if he doesn't want to wear them out of loss of composure, remind him that there is a study out that proves snoring causes women to lose their mood (you know)
-edit- NOOO do NOT hold his feeler. You can cause him to have a heart attack.
Are you sure we ain't married to like peas in a pod husband??
I WISH breathe-right strips worked on mine. So far, nothing except weight loss works to alleviate the bat. Unfortunately, his weight yo-yo's a lot. I own heard that this type of snoring is a sign of sleep apnea, especially when there are greatly of variety of noises involved (besides the Fred Flintstone "snore-till-the-window-shades-roll-up" noise). Sleeping on the put money on is the worst position, and usually one side is better than the other as far as noise. But... yep. Mine sleeps on the couch a lot until he complains in the region of his back.
If your husband isn't overweight, your insurance may pay for a minor surgery -- which can involve fixing a deviated septum if not the "punching bags" in the back of his throat. Or they might discharge for a C-PAP machine for him to sleep with; alas, it comes next to its own set of noises.
My husband is asleep now and we enjoy company... and I can't sleep on the couch... ARGGH!
Amazing how fast they can fall pay for asleep after you wop them real hard beside your knee. Hum.
Uh you can like hold the dude's proboscis...he might stop...sort of bogus.
A doctor could probably tell you what to do.
doesn't cause a heart attack -.-
