Could my bladder be shrinking?

I am a 14 year-old male and I've been notice that I've been going to the bathroom more often, but for shorter amounts of time compared to back. I haven't been drinking more than I have be when I was able to hold more urine. Can anyone let somebody know me what is happening? Thanks!

It could be a bladder infection... its more adjectives in women but men can get it too... i can assue you your bladder is not 'shrinking' :) Go see a doctor she will probably prescribe you some antibiotics. Nothing 2 verbs about.
It is impossible to know exactly. You should ask your parents to programme an appointment with your regular doctor for a checkup. It doesn't sound serious, but it is best to check it out since it concerns you.
Your bladder most likely isn't shrinking, but your body is growing -- and contained by terms of how often you inevitability to go to the bathroom, that can amount to the same piece! At your age your body is growing and changing rapidly, and adjectives that growth and change means extra throw away products that have to come out, and if your bladder doesn't "keep up" beside your growth spurt (which actually happens to profusely of people!) the result will be needing to "go" more. This is true even if your body doesn't give the impression of being to have grown much on the outside, because it is also changing on the inside. You can't really determine the amount of urine by the amount of time it takes you to go, because it's possible you are expelling the urine faster than earlier (part of those body changes we're talking nearly!).

I agree that it's probably nothing, BUT I'd suggest you see a doctor IF:

(1) you ever have any anguish or burning sensation when you urinate (could be a UTI),
(2) you ever have difficulty going or continuing to go once you start (could be prostate issues),
(3) you ever showery your pants or your bed (assuming you haven't before) without an understandable explanation, or if that happens repeatedly,
(4) you know for SURE that the amount of urine is much less than previously, or if your urine is dark, cloudy or otherwise abnormal within appearance or odor (could point to a kidney problem),
OR (5) it bothers you enough to start messing with your mind and affecting your daylight to day activities (i.e., if you're never floppy out with your friends anymore because you're afraid of making 10 bathroom trips, then it's affecting your go and you should get it checked out).

If any of the above happen, it might still be zilch, but then you'd have apology to see a doctor just to make sure. Otherwise... likelihood are you're fine, and before long your bladder will probably "catch up" near your body and get you back to impossible to tell apart pattern as before.

They have these things call "doctors" you might want to check out. I hear they're pretty cool. Your prostate might be growing, but usually that's an old man thing. Source(s): Humanity.
