A mucousy cough every single winter and spring ... wtf?

I'm 20 years old. Ever since I was a kid I gain a mucousy and disgusting cough every single winter. What happens is I'll get one cold, which will second for 2 weeks, but the mucous in my throat stays until summer finally gets here. It's disgusting and have been going on ever since I was within Kindergarten. I was a little kid sitting surrounded by my seat with a disgusting cough due to that mucous, and in a minute here I am as a sophomore in college with equal cough. It's really embarrassing too.

What is it and are there any meds that can maintain this away? I hate taking meds, but if it'll keep the mucous away I'll bring it.

i would get something similar to you every spring or fall but it would be a runny snout and itchy watery eyes for like one week to 2 weeks. so if its around like time every yr maybe its allergies have you ever be checked up for that? allergies have the same adjectives symptoms as a cold would have runny nose, cough, itchy runny eyes, stuffy nose etc Source(s): 23 yrs old near allergies all my life:)
