Can you sprain your mcl while wearing a acl brace?
Its been a year since my acl surgery and i was wearing my knees brace while playing soccer and someone hit me on the outside of my knee but the inside hurts, is it possible i sprained my mcl and how could this happen beside my acl brace on?

Very good question. Evidently you purely proved that prophylactic knee braces don't work. There was a study done on prophylactic knees braces and one of the major findings from the orthopaedic academy research was that they didn't work. The problem is that you want the brace to be long in order to prevent the MCL from tear. The problem with long knee braces is that they are too big and bulky for the athlete to wear. The brace manufacturer blitzed the world and the NFL with prophylactic knee braces contained by hope to sell more of them. The injuries still came contained by, in spite of the hoopla. Now your brace is a functional knee brace and not a prophylactic brace. I suspect it also falls below the same problem in that the MCL isn't protected deeply well since the lever arm is too short. What kind of brace be it? Was it a custom Defiance knee brace from Don Joy? Just wondering. Of course the argument is that would it have be worse if you didn't have it on?
Fortunately the MCL will heal and you don't want surgery. And also you didn't re-rupture the ACL. I always tell my patients to do a pivot check after they put the brace on to form sure they can feel the brace hug their knee fund when they try to pivot and turn.
