Fresh ear piercing, hurting me so doomed to failure. Is it infected?
I just got my ear pierced on top finishing Friday. It was fine up until last dark. Its hurting me so bad. MY ears are a little swollen. My friend who have an industrial suggested she squeeze out all the puss so she did for one ear but it hurt to much to do the other. What can i do to make it quality better? The pain is becoming unbearable. Please lend a hand. :/

how be it pierced? with a gun or needle?
when i have mine done it was with a gun, hurt so discouraging and got so infected my mom had to rip it out. the gun have attached the back of the ring on to close to my ear that it had no room for swelling.
anyway. for the twinge i suggest advil or tylenol. anything like that. it will help. remember to just clean it a few times a day, cleaning profoundly is like over kill, it wont alleviate properly. some bacteria is good. DO NOT touch it or consent to other people touch it. when you clean it build sure you wash your hands first.
depending on the jewelry you may involve to loosen the back (that is if it is a butterfly backing similar to you would find on a traditional earring) if its a barbell or ring move it back n forth when you clean it.
puss is a correct thing so dont get freaked out if you see it. in attendance will be a lot of gunk the comes out, it happens near any piercing. if you really feel it is infected you can visit the place you get it done, or your doctor.
hope that helps
kelly is right!! sea brackish and warm water. the stuff does miracles for pericings. Source(s): 5 piercings of my own
If someone have to "squeeze out all the pus," your ear is definitely infected, and you conspicuously need to see a doctor.
Pus is NOT a good entity. It is an indicator of infection. (clear fluid, or crustiness is sometimes normal, but pus--opaque, whitish, yellowish, greenish or grayish--is BAD).
Unbearable pain that begin several days after the piercing (after being OK for a few days) also points right to an infection.
Doc can probably prescribe an antibiotic that will take trouble of it. Don't let it get worse. Source(s): paramed trained
Yeah there infected for sure swelling, redness, and puss are a sign of that. And since it seem bactine, not working, you need to stir in to Doc and let him check and prescribe a treatment for it to aid it.
Stop using Bactine!! It even say right on the bottle "Not for puncture wounds" which is what a piercing is.
Sea salt soaks, 1/4 TEAspoon to 8 oz warm sea, soak for 15 min. twice a day and don't touch!
Sea salt and table brackish are not the same product, and more salt doesn't parsimonious a better clean.
Having swelling, some pain, and clear/white lymph is 100% commonplace.
Infections are: red, hot to the touch, swollen, very painful, and ooze yellow/green pus - be in motion to the doctor right away if this you're experiencing this.
It is severly infected and you'll need to see a doctor who might tell you to bear it out let it heal and next repierce it later on.
Who ever told you to use Bactine is NOT I repeat NOT a professional piercer, they should have told you to use Saline ( saline wound clean, H2Ocean, or sea salt and marine mixed) atleast 3 times a day on a Qtip and to wash it twice a hours of daylight with antibacterial soap and water, and to verbs and slide the stud when you are cleaning it to prevent buildup internally.
I always tell my clients to use Saline wound clean, Johnsons baby shampoo as a soap, and to take advil to prevent swelling for the first 2 weeks. Source(s): Pro piercer 12 years
