***CT scan or MRI for suspected Scaphoid fracture?

Ive been in a style for almost 2 weeks now JUST FOR A SUSPECTED SCAPHOID FRACTURE!, and all my x-rays own been viewed as normal(november 5th, and november 15) which have been explained to me is fairly adjectives for scaphoid fractures.

However, the specialist sent me to get a CT scan for better results, to see wether or not my scaphoid is fractured or not. But i hear MRI's are the best option now-a-days for determining a Scaphoid fracture.
Answers:
Well I'm sure your consultant know what he is doing, at least I hope he does or he shouldn't be a consultant. Whether its fractured or not it will be healed soon if its be immobilised. Source(s): worked in the NHS for many years and have several fractures
