My doctor will not relieve control my distress!?
I had a tonsillectomy 9 days ago and it has be the worst experience of my life (way worse than a c-section) I was given hydrocodone for the throbbing but was throwing up 2-3 times a day for the 1st 3 days post -op. The doctor give me some anti-nausea that didn't work. Now she is saying there is no other opportunity for my pain and that I can just lift ibprophen or tylenol.
I am also wondering why I am still in pain 9 days post op. The solely meds that she is letting me take are ibprophen and tylenol and they are doing nothing (and she doesn't care) Can't I sue her for not helping me control my throbbing? I am crying all day and adjectives night from this pain and am going on for to just check into the hospital.

medical malpractice/negligence suits are very difficult to pursue and win. But, you need to grasp a second opinion ASAP. I have hear that can be very painful surgery but you involve to listen to your body and get help, apparently this doctor isn't receptive. Sorry and hope it gets better.
I would suggest that you go to a regular ethnic group doctor or the E.R. and tell them what is happening. You could not switch the effects of hydrocodone which often cause nausea. That should not own been the last remedy. There are many other pain meds that are chemically unrelateon cloud nineydrocodone that could have helped even surrounded by liquid form. Promethazine can be administered with narcotic twinge meds to ease the nausea and to potentiate the medicine. My worst the creeps is that you may have an infection which may require immediate attention. Please travel to the doctor ASAP. The E.R. may be the best bet.
