Broken chalice within foot.?

I have a broken glass at the bottom underneath my foot, which has been nearby since oct last year. I did go to doctors several times as ably with hospitals only once. Yesterday I go to the hospital for the first time in a year to finally get my surgery but as soon as I come in the room and showed the doctor my foot, I wasn't able to agree to him touch it because it hurt enough to touch it so he tells me they can't cut it due to a big break of damaging the nerves in my foot and that if I be his kid, he wouldn't allow me. See, if I do this, there's 75 percent I wouldn't be able to walk which is something I cannot hold right now seeing as how I'm very athletic especially next to hockey BUT the pain continues to get worse after a year and I can't concord with that. There's also a hard bump which might be not ordinary.

So what could be the problem here?
Because I'm really confused on what to do.
Answers:
How big is this piece of glass in your foot ?

I own nursed many people who enjoy been in coup¨¦ accidents, some of them going through the windscreen themselves. Pieces of glass lodged within under the skin make their own route to the surface over time, sometimes years after the accident.

Considering the position of the fragments try another surgeons opinion. The doctors know where on earth the nerves are and how to avoid them during surgery.
