10 days ago I fell bad stool. Hit both shins. No bruise in a minute & hurt 2 touch & sore walking. Anyone do this?

TEN days ago, I fell off a normal sized stool. I hit both shins on the chair and then slammed onto the ground. I broke the skin contained by two spots on one leg and both had slight bruising and swelling. I don't really see any swelling now, but they are both bleeding to the touch and I feel pain surrounded by both shins when I walk. I have notice when sitting and I put my legs straight out in front of me and raise them up, it hurts.

I know not a soul on here is a doctor...just curious if anyone has ever experienced this in the past.

I am not an athlete of any kind.

Thanks for any info.

This is common.

What you predictable have, is what is commonly called a bone bruise. It happen when there is direct impact on a bone, such as you did.

There is a thin seam on top of bone, and underneath, blood vessels. When impacted, here is bleeding, but it confined by the thin layer, and doesn't go and get into the skin, so no bruise. The pressure is what causes the pain, or anything that increases the pressure on the nouns, such as contact, or stretching.

Some people find that applying heat (20 min, 3-4 times a hours of daylight, don't sleep with a heating wipe on), can dramatically increase this going away. We use ice for the first few days, but after that, heat works better.

Oh, and you never know where on earth you might find a doctor. Source(s): http://www.netwellness.org/question.cfm/…
Lol here's a wild guess... it might just be internal bruising, if in attendance is such thing. Might just want to walk to the doctor about it.
