Help me! Diabetes press?
My boyfriend was just diagnosed next to type 1 diabetes. He is 14, 6 ft and now only weigh 120 pounds, I know he is underweight, but I can't convince him. And he won't eat because he says it make him feel worse and he hates needles. It's not that I want to neg him but I contemplation about him and some people hold told me he could die if he doesn't manage it. Also can he use a pump or an omnipod?

Your boyfriend is in denial. It comes beside the diagnosis for many of us. He does feel worse when he eat because his blood glucose goes up; He will have to overcome his scare of needles, I did. I had a needle phobia. When insulin is taking out loud it is destroyed in the digestive system. The insulin pen is not as bad for some apology. The needles are short too, not like shots at the doctors office.

Feeling bad after eating is due to elevated blood sugar level, and you need insulin to bring it down. If your boyfriend does not take his insulin and lift care of himself he could end up surrounded by the hospital with Diabetic Kedoacidosis in a short time ago a few short weeks, a few months if he is lucky. But once is gets this far you are only a short breath away from departure. I have been here and it is not fun. You are thirsty and they won't give you water, they put together you suck on ice so you do not get sick. Explain to him that you are worried something like him and you do not want to see him kill himself.

He has to return with the diabetes under control before he can start using a pump... otherwise it will be pointless.
Plus to put contained by a pump you still have to deal beside needles.
I'd get him to see an endocrinologist first.
