Cord blood donation what is your thought?

Im 13 weeks pregnant and seriously thinking of donating my babies cord blood, when the time comes.
Has any of you done it? What do you think about it? Would you do it?
Answers:
Donating or preserving for yourself/child? Either way, why not? It may backing another child somewhere down the line or if you are preserving it then your own child may entail it someday.
Instead of donating it why don't you think about putting it surrounded by a cord bank, ask the hospital, for your future use. It could hide away your own babies life in the adjectives if needed.
