Nopers, they have colors. :) I hold pink and I used to have teal. Try the light pink!! It's REALLY pretty and doesn't stand out as much as teal. Teal be too bright for me. And teal was hard to bring back used too. I'm thirteen also. :D I've had them for about four months immediately. You'd be suprised how fast the time goes by. Even though it starts SOO slow...
Edit: When you first acquire them eat mostly yogurt, jello, bread, mashed potatos, and soup. Have the advil primed. Your teeth will hurt quiete a bit in the beggining. Alsoo keep your teeth SUPER verbs so after they'll be shiny AND straight. If you don't brush and floss enough they'll have white build up at the top of respectively tooth. :P ew...
Anyway, Good Luck!
ANd don't worry, they can't hurt forever.
On the front of each tooth within is the opportunity to place a colored rubber band. You can change them at respectively visit to your orthodontist, so every month you can get trial colors. They can also put them on in different patterns if you want.
Braces are a moment or two painful at first, but the result is spectacular. Be sure to keep up beside your brushing and use mouthwash to clean out all the latest nooks and crannies, though.
the rubber things that tighten your braces are colored.
If you mean the brackets and wires. Yes at hand is only metal. But you get to tag on colored rubber bands.. and some tips n braces.. i would not even look forward to eating that first daytime! not kidding if you r have your mom but you some yogurt or jello...or ICECREAM! Lol and you cannot chew gum~
Partly your mom is right. Ligatures or rubbers are what makes it colored. it is changed every time you look in your orthodontist. :)
tips on braces:
I had braces way vertebrae 2004 when I was fourteen and had them removed (even when treatment wasn't finish yet) within 2007. I'm having them again next week but its not the metal ones anymore but clay braces.
First things first, you will definitely feel misery at first. Imagine that you're having a toothache but then again, its adjectives of your teeth! It's really that painful and sored. Just bear the cramp because, you will eventually get used to it.
Next, the brackets tend to irritate your gums at first. Don't freak out, this is totally normal. They will eventually gain used to it in no time.
Lastly, you have to mind about the food that will stuck up your braces. It's just during the first months though. You will eventually cram how to eat without staining them.
These are newly the top 3 things you will have to bear surrounded by mind in the first days and weeks of your braces. Good luck! :)
