It feels if within is slight pressure on my jaw when it is close as well. Although it have only started recently, can somebody please backing? Thankyou.
Answers:
A clicking jaw is an indication that your jaw integrated (condyle) is dislocating out of its socket (fossa). When you open too wide, you can intentionally dislocate your mouth also but normally you should be able to fit 3 fingers between your front teeth minus any problems. Since this is relatively recent and you have never had it up to that time, it is possible that you did something to overstress the muscles that open and close the mouth. Trauma to the head and nouns (like whiplash) can also cause this. Let it go for immediately and baby your teeth (soft diet, no gum) for a few weeks and see if it resolves. If not, you need to see a dentist that know how to treat TMD (temporomandibular disorder). Do not go to an oral surgeon or orthodontist, trust me. Source(s): retired DDS
