Almost done beside my braces, How can i attach the stagger elastics easier?

I just got these unsullied things called Zigzag elastics, they basically attach to my support upper tooth and zigzag from tooth to tooth until the first upper hook, and i literally took about twenty minutes trying to put them on until my dad have to help me, eventually. How can i attach them easier?
