Help? how can i receive my swollen gums down? please answer!?

my orthodontist told me to start flossing and i did [i have braces.] but there's these two teeth that my gums are so swollen they are growing into my brackets. please help! i might hold to get my gums cut back into place. no situation how much i floss, they just wont go down. what can i do??
Answers:
If they are swollen and red, consequently that could be bacteria.
If that's the case they should also be bleeding.
Bleeding is not a fruitless thing when flossing, it helps the microbes leave the gums.
When my daughters gums would flare up the dentist told her to tie a knot contained by the floss and pull it thru, making sure not to get it snagged within your braces.
It worked for her. Ask your hygienist for techniques too.
